The Prader-Willi California Foundation is Walking for Prader-Willi in May, 2011
The Prader-Willi California Foundation (online at www.PWCF.org) is hosting its annual walk-a-thon this year on May 1st in Southern and Central, CA, and May 14th in Northern California.
Prader-Willi Syndrome is a genetic abnormality that effects children and can be quite surprising to parents. PWCF.org is trying to get the word out for itself as a resource and support network for people both directly and indirectly impacted by Prader-Willi Syndrome (PWS). Their goal is to raise $350,000 to help find a cure.
This year, their annual event takes place on May 1st in Southern California at Woodley Park in Santa Ana. Central Californians can get walking in Fresno on the same day in Woodward Park, and NorCal residents can walk up money in Cesar Chavez Park in Berkeley on May 14th. People interested in getting involved by registering to walk or by making donations can learn more about the events through Prader-Willi California Foundation’s Web Site, www.PWCF.org.
